this is my new beginning
If you’ve somehow landed here - whether by fate, Instagram scroll or a well placed Google search - I’m really glad you did.
I’ve been working in interior design for over fourteen years now.
Before that, six years of art and design education -sketching, painting and trying to make sense of things. A degree. A foundation. A lot of trial and error.
My career started quietly: admin roles, assisting, managing a paint and paper store. Watching, absorbing, learning how things really work. I worked my way into a CAD designer role, then eventually into senior designer territory -working on high-end interiors with care, precision and a good dose of trust.
Then life did that thing it does sometimes, it shifted.
Two more babies, close together. A pause.
Enough change to make me look at everything differently.
And from that, this: my own interior design studio. Small, personal, flexible. Built around my life instead of in the way of it.
And now - this space. A blog. A corner of the internet to share what I know.
Because I believe there’s something valuable in sharing knowledge.
Here’s the plan: each week, I’ll be posting something.
Design mistakes. Styling tips. Moodboards. Pattern clashing that somehow works. Things I wish clients knew. Things I wish I knew ten years ago. All of it.
Maybe you’re studying design.
Maybe you’re planning your own home project.
Maybe you’re just here because you like nice things and want to understand them better.
Maybe you just like interiors and want to understand why that one room on Pinterest feels so good.
Whatever the reason -you’re welcome.
And I’m glad you’re here.
Now. Let’s get to the good stuff. Starting with:
5 interior design mistakes you’re probably making.
(Don’t worry - we’ve all done them.)
